New-age makeover plan for Delhi Khan Market
Delhi Khan Market, one of the most happening place in South Delhi, famous for it’s super expensive brand shops, multi-cuisine restaurants, super hot pubs and lounges is being under NDMC scanner for re-development since a long time. But the original plans presented by New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has been rejected by the daily users and shop owners due to its improper planning.
Instead, a young independent architect Vandana Sehgal (an associate professor of architecture at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida) has presented a makerover plan for Delhi Khan Market which is more reliable and efficient.
Her design is more safer in terms of fire, personal usage etc. She has suggested the use of skywalks, ramps for disabled people and beautification of central plaza transforming it into a green landscaped court.
