Announcement: Design Educates Awards 2026 — Call for Entries Now Open
8th edition of awards for design and architecture with social impact
Design Educates Awards (DEAwards) celebrate architecture and design that go beyond form and function. We recognise and promote projects that contribute meaningfully to society by embedding knowledge, values, and reflection into the built environment and designed objects.
Each year, DEAwards bring together a global community of architects, designers, and creatives who believe that design carries responsibility, and that true quality lies in its ability to educate, inspire, and influence the way we think, feel, and act.
We invite submissions of creative and innovative projects of any scale, realised works or conceptual proposals developed within the last five (5) years. Beyond strong aesthetics, we seek projects that demonstrate added value: educational potential, compelling narratives, critical reflection, emotional or behavioural impact, and a conscious engagement with users and their environment.
Outstanding International Jury
Our esteemed jury consists of world-renowned architects, designers, innovators and educators who are successfully expanding the boundaries of what is possible in their fields. This year our Jury panel has been joined by Prof. Toyo Ito, Prof. Benedetta Tagliabue, Francine Houben, Doriana Mandrelli Fuksas, Prof. Barbara Holzer, Prof. Rainer Mahlamäki, David Basulto and more exceptional architects and designers.
Ceremony
The awards ceremony will take place during the Architecture in Foyer 2026 conference in Warsaw in September 2026. The event will be hosted by the Warsaw University of Technology and will form part of a two-day international conference featuring lectures and discussions led by renowned architects, designers, and innovators from around the world.
