House by the Sea – Architecture Student Project
The House by the Sea Project, designed by Lavinia Aroșculesei, proposes to arrange a house for a family of 3 people in a residential area, by the sea and a development on two levels, one of which is a partial one.
The Theme of the free plan also comes as a study in the area of formal composition from the range of “squares” of John Hejduk, his compositions reaching a higher level of complexity, integrating in them, for the first time, the theme of housing. By imposing a predetermined plot, on the one hand the aim is to eliminate the structural criterion, and on the other hand this type of exercise determines a logic of functional solving in a given structural context – the current theme in architectural practice.
The Aim is to imagine and understand the spatial and functional relationship outside – inside but also the representative function of the house in a certain scenario.
