361 Degree Design Conference 2017 is one of the oldest and most respected design forums in India. It is an initiative by Indian Architect & Builder to inspire a truly relevant discussion on architecture. The conference establishes a thought-exchange program with its presentations and discussions chronicling a multitude of ideas and innovations that have had a significant impact on our habitats.

Through the years, the conference has connected various disciplines of design by offering dialogue opportunities across essential themes like Design and Informal Cities, Earth Matters, Imagining Urban Futures, Material Innovations, New Spirit in Architecture, Architecture of Purpose and Architecture & Identity.

2016 will mark the nine edition of 361° Conference in India.

While the concerns of over population, suburban sprawls, ecology, and temporarily have been raised within the fields of architecture, planning and urban designing, designers are increasingly being supported by growing technology and innovations trying to keep up with the advances of the world. During such times one is intrigued to notice these emerging developments are a reaction to the diversity of needs, culture, climate, landscape and economies and an invariable part of modern day existence.

Architecture and Urban planning act as practical catalysts for building resilient lives, to exist in harmony with the ecosystem and local resources. The theme attempts to create discourses about the ‘Architecture of the Future’ which entails to develop and realise experimental processes to encourage constant engagement as well as permanence.
