Presentation on Louis Isadore Kahn
Louis Isadore Kahn is considered to be one of the great master builders of our time.
Louis Isadore Kahn (born Itze-Leib Schmuilowsky) (March 5, 1901 – March 17, 1974) was an American architect, based in Philadelphia. After working in various capacities for several firms in Philadelphia, he founded his own atelier in 1935. While continuing his private practice, he served as a design critic and professor of architecture at Yale School of Architecture from 1947 to 1957.

From 1957 until his death, he was a professor of architecture at the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. Kahn created a style that was monumental and monolithic; his heavy buildings for the most part do not hide their weight, their materials, or the way they are assembled. Louis Kahn’s works are considered as monumental beyond modernism.[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][embeddoc url=”https://www.dropbox.com/s/0j7d9498jwqlx3a/Louis%20Khan.ppt?dl=1″ viewer=”google” cache=”off”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_cta h2=”You must be Registered in order to Download The Presentation” txt_align=”center” style=”3d” color=”blue”][/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row]
